How beautiful does this woman look? She looks so at ease with her self and style. She possesses the right amount of coolness and elegance... It is easy to dress well but to wear it well ("pull it off") comes down to confidence and personality. It's about knowing and accepting who you are. It's a struggle for many people including me* (I'm hoping it has something to do with being in my mid-twenties) but eventually you will figure it out - if you want to. Whoa, that was quite deep!** x.

*I think I'm one step closer to finding my 'groove'... For the past twelve months I've been growing out my bangs. I felt like I lost my edge and my sense of style until recently, when Uncle E gave me back my bangs... I automatically regained confidence in myself and image. YAY! :)

**I had no idea I'd end up blogging about self identity etc. I looked at the two images and thought, "She looks cool" but didn't want to write another post about how cool someone looks without giving any reason(s)... too vague... too deja vous! So I asked myself three questions: (1) Why does she look cool? (2) What makes her stand out from others? (3) Where can I purchase that wonderful woolly vest??? And there you have it, a (kind of) deep post on fashion!

Our first stop in Brisbane, Pearl Cafe. I love coming here. The staff are super friendly. The exterior is cool but the interior is cooler (including the bathrooms). x.

Same dress. Different model. Different photographer(s). Different magazine. x.

I totally forgot to upload photos of last week. Here's a photo I took early in the week (Tuesday to be precise) of Dan and his gun at Brunch Lunch. What do you think of his new moustache? x.

Last night I stumbled upon photos of Grace Goddington's 70th Birthday Party on Vogue.com. The Creative Director looks fabulous for her age! She celebrated her birthday at New York City's Indochine with an uber cool guest list including Anna Wintour, Annie Liebovitz, Helmut Lang, Karen Elson, Karlie Kloss, Marc Jacobs, Naomi Campbell, Oscar de la Renta, Patrick Demarchelier, the Proenza Schouler boys (Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez), Stefano Pilati and Vera Wang. I wish I received an invite... it looked like so much fun! x.

I feel like I'm constantly apologising on here but I feel selfish and rude for coming and going as I please. I've had a busy week (in the kitchen and traveling interstate) and have caught the flu (I'm contagious and moody) that I haven't had a chance to update my blog. Today is the first day I've stayed in (thank goodness for the extra long long-weekend) in a long time... I'm relishing every moment but guess what, Mum and I have decided to move my room around. I can't keep still, no matter how exhausted/ill I am. Happy Easter/Lest We Forget (the ANZACS). x.

Last week, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark announced the names of their twins (third and fourth children), Vincent and Josephine. I was curious to find out the names they had chosen but was more interested in what the Crown Princess would be wearing. She stepped out of the car in an elegant blue dress. I loved the fact that she wore the floral head piece she had worn to her older children's christenings. She's so elegant!

I think Gretchen Jones (winner of season eight of Project Runway) rocks! Her silhouettes are wonderfully chic and feminine. Check out her Fall/Winter 2011 collection. x.
