A rooftop picnic... phwoar! Via.

I can't believe how quickly the weekend flew. Time flies when you're having fun! Over the past two days I have fallen in love with British Bulldogs, eliminated carbs (bread, pasta and rice) from my diet, sold homemade biscuits and toasted muesli, finished reading 'The Beautiful and Damned', discovered a cheap and cheerful Japanese restaurant, started reading 'Master of the Game' (I created a must-read list by default), participated in the Pub2Pub Fun Run, and drank tea/ate Anzac biscuits. Hope you had a wonderful weekend and have a great start to the week! x.

P.S. Check out this post about personal blogging. Interesting!

I'm obsessed with muffins. So much so, I've started baking them. Below are strawberry ones I made earlier this week. Happy Friday! Hope you have a lovely weekend. x.

BryanBoy on love,
"Love is similar to fashion. We can't survive without it. The love of family is similar to the fashion version of the classics. A classic trench coat can withstand weather, rain, wear or tear, like one's father. The softness and comfort of a cashmere sweater is akin to a mother's love. A great pair of jeans that you can bring to places is very brotherly or sisterly. Friends come and go over time so the love of friends are similar to accessories - the timeless classic bag, willing to be there while you carry your baggage, is your best friend. The must-have shoe is your other BFF. Acquaintances and all the people that go through the revolving door called life are trend pieces - they make you happy temporarily but after a few short moments, they're disposable. Shoulder pads? Check. Sequined jackets? Check. Colour blocking? Check check check!
And when it comes to real, unconditional, special love from THE one and only? We're all gonna have to go through many, many dresses, some tight, some loose, some probably ill-fitting, but there's only one, clean and pristine, dress that will march with us to the altar. It takes time to find that one.
Love is all we need."

Starting a business is not easy. You have your good days and your bad - a never ending emotional roller coaster ride. I just read this article in The New York Times and it is exactly the way the mentioned business owners describe owning a business to be. Despite the long hours, poor pay and uncertainty of what lies ahead, I wouldn't trade my new life for my old job either. Happy Monday! x.

Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day... Hopefully this beautiful wedding will brighten your day. Happy Friday! x.

I love bread. I love the smell, warmth and taste of freshly baked bread. I love it at all times of the day - on it's own or accompanied by butter, poached eggs or soup. Cheese is good too. I've been inspired to make my own bread after watching this short film on Tartine Bakery. You can purchase their cookbook here. x.

I think Gwyneth is looking better than ever... there's a natural radiance and ease about her. Here, she is photographed by Carter Smith for the September 2011 issue of Elle US. I love the crotched sweater in the first photo. Happy Monday! x.

Helen Mirren on life,
"The hardest period in life is one's 20s. It's a shame because you're your most gorgeous and you're physically in peak condition but it's actually when you're most insecure and full of self-doubt. When you don't know what's going to happen, it's frightening." Via.

I'm an idealist/dreamer/romantic. I can't wait to watch One Day. I haven't read the novel... should I? Jim makes me swoon. Have a loooovely weekend! x.
