Erdem Resort 2012. Not your average runway show. x.

I can't sleep so I'm catching up on news (The Guardian, The New York Times and The Sydney Morning Herald), blogs (Bryan Boy and That Kind of Woman) and runway shows (via Vogue US). Have you watched CNN's interview with Tom Ford? He is refined (of course) and spoke candidly (something I did not expect). I love his polka-dot tie.

Here are a few images of Yves Saint Laurent's Resort 2012 collection.

P.S. Mum and I are heading out for brunch in a few hours. Can't wait! Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Stefano Pilati on bloggers -
I pay attention to all of them and I'm very scared," he says. "Because who are these people? I would like to sit with them and ask them where they came from. Because it's very easy to judge from your bed. At the same time, I'm fascinated. I'm fascinated by this era and this medium. If people are thirsty about fashion, I like to have a dialogue, but now it's not a two-way dialogue; it's a one-way dialogue." Via.

I've been meaning to blog about red heads for quite some time... I think women blessed with fiery tresses (and porcelain skin) are a force to reckon with. They immediately stand out from a crowd and ooze a certain natural kind of coolness. I'm in awe but understand such beauty should be celebrated - not envied. Happy Friday! x.

Last Sunday my friends (Cat and Juz) and I rocked up to Uncle E's studio 'barefaced and beautiful' to learn the basics of make-up application (for more information click here). We learnt several tips and tricks and had a few laughs (particularly during the practical component of the class). It's amazing what make-up can do... when you apply it correctly! As Uncle E stressed, "Less is more" and "Blend, blend, blend!" x.

Carin Rodebjer to Vogue.com, "I'm really looking forward to plugging into the creative energy of New York again."

So am I.

Last weekend was my first weekend off (from the markets) in a while. It was odd. On Saturday I was extremely excited at the idea of not having to wake-up to my alarm and sit in front of the stove of all day. However I was antsy when I met Bridge and Dan at Robocog for brunch... I felt like I had to be somewhere, doing something (it was awful - all I wanted to do was sit, relax and be present). Despite my strange behaviour, I managed to take several photos. I was lucky my morning included blue skies and two of the coolest/funniest people I know. x.

P.S. I finally tried a muffin from Remy & Lee's. I demolished my white chocolate and blueberry ball of doughy goodness in less than two minutes!
