Some very cute British actors!

L - R : Colin Firth, Gary Oldman, Benedict Cumberbatch and John Hurt. Via.

Several weeks ago I watched Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Admittedly I found the first fifteen minutes painfully slow but afterwards, I got into it. Apart from the story line, I loved the costume design. There's something elegant about the way men dressed 'back in the day'. x.

 I N  T H E  M O O D  F O R  . . .

As Valentine's Day is approaching, I thought I'd start a special series called, "In the mood for..." where I will post about a particular theme that is associated with luuuurve. I'm beginning with food as I think it's safe to say that many of us can easily relate to it and hold the belief that the way into one's heart is through one's belly :) What a sweet and satisfying thought! x.

What's more romantic than sharing a bowl of spaghetti with the one you adore?

Love comes in many different forms. Think of Bruce Bogtrotter from Roald Dahl's novel, Matilda. The boy loved chocolate cake so much he finished an entire one on his own!

Whether you're standing outside the store you love or lying in bed with the one you love, what better way to start the morning than with a warm pastry?

A few days ago, Aunt Elaine (yes, my groovy Aunt!) showed me, 'Here' a beautiful short film starring British model, Agyness Deyn. Featuring music by Jason Schwartzman and Woody Jackson, the project derived from the creative minds of Waris Ahluwalia, Luca Guadagnino, Sandra Kopp and Tilda Swinton for The Luxury Collection. If you have time, sit down and enjoy the romantic sights and sounds. x.

A few days ago I came across a creative studio called, Tiger in a Jar. I'm not a fan of film-making (simply because I don't know how it all works) but after watching the video below, it makes me want to learn! x.

Last night I finally watched the film, Somewhere written and directed by Sofia Coppola. It was a beautiful film in the cool and edgy way that Coppola is known. Emotions were felt through facial expression and body language rather than dialogue. I found the film so powerful/interesting I did some research and found this NY Mag interview with Stephen Dorff. x.
