UPDATING MY WALL

Wow. I found photos on my camera and mobile phone dating back to the beginning of the year. It looks like I've done a lot of stuff but it doesn't feel that way. There are several photos/events I want to share with you so please bear with me over the coming days :)

Some months ago, I updated the images on my bedroom wall. They are a source of inspiration for various aspects of my life. Most images are fashion related. On the opposing wall (not featured) I have a large cork board filled with photographs I took of New York in 2010 (has it really been that long??!). Since then New York, in particular Brooklyn has held a special place in my heart. I thought I posted images of the two trips I made to the Big Apple however, I can't find it anywhere on my blog... I might have to dedicate one to her!

Notable mentions on my wall:
Phoebe Philo for Celine, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler and Dries Van Noten himself influence the way I dress. I turn to Celine when I'm feeling minimal, Proenza Schouler for something preppy and Dries Van Noten for understated elegance. I opt for clean lines with a quirky detail here or there, nothing too fussy so each designer provides a solid foundation.
Rooney Mara and Keira Knightley are my latest style crushes. Both actresses are feminine and elegant in their own distinct way. Rooney sticks to neutral tones and tends to wear minimalistic labels like Calvin Klein and Givenchy. She always wears her hair slicked back and her make-up is clean and fresh. Red lipstick suits her. Keira is fun and adventurous, she's been seen in Burberry, Chanel, Erdem and Rodarte. Valentino is a favourite on the red carpet. Her hair and make-up is always flawless. She looks great with her hair up and smokey eyes.
I think Chris Martin is incredibly talented and cute (I totally dig his sense of style)! Parachutes is still my favourite Coldplay album.
Brian Ferry (not to be confused with Roxy Music's Mr. Ferry) takes some of the most beautiful photographs... He has a way of capturing small but significant occurrences, those sweet moments in everyday life... Erasing the need for words.
Happy Monday! Tuesday! (Long weekends always get me!)

x.
